For Immediate Release
Bern, December 10, 2025 - The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with Worldly, the leading sustainability and supply chain intelligence platform widely used across retail and consumer goods companies. The strategic partnership is designed to equip WFSGI members with industry-aligned ESG insights, practical solutions, and collective frameworks, including Cascale’s Higg Index suite of tools, developed in collaboration with Worldly, to accelerate responsible business conduct and measurable sustainability impact.
This collaboration between WFSGI and Worldly directly advances WFSGI’s Member Enablement ESG Strategic Pillar, giving members enhanced access to tools, data, and industry-aligned methodologies that support better compliance and due diligence, reduce risk, and improve overall ESG outcomes across the global sporting goods value chain.
Expanding a Connected Industry Network to Strengthen Transparency
WFSGI members will benefit from two pathways designed to broaden alignment across the global sporting goods industry and elevate the quality of shared supply-chain data. Through this partnership, Worldly supports both long-standing users—who have already advanced consistency and transparency within their networks—and new users building the foundations for credible, comparable reporting.
Deepening Primary Supply-Chain Data to Accelerate Industry Progress
Worldly is trusted by a network of over 40,000 companies across apparel, footwear, home furnishings, and sporting goods and many WFSGI members are already Worldly customers and active contributors to their ecosystem, helping drive standardization and shared expectations across complex supply chains. Building on this leadership, the partnership expands access to tools and services that deepen primary data, strengthen transparency, and support readiness to deliver on emerging regulatory, buyer and investor expectations across global markets.
By leveraging the latest capabilities within Worldly’s Sports & Outdoor Industry framework, members can encourage greater supplier engagement, foster consistent measurement practices, and access the support needed to advance social and environmental improvements across the value chain.
Data from Worldly* shows both the progress and the opportunity ahead: 75% of sporting goods production facilities on the platform have energy and emissions improvement plans, and 66% are actively reducing energy. Production facilities with plans are 35% more likely to cut emissions, and those that set goals are 51% more likely to make measurable progress. The partnership aims to help close gaps like this by expanding access to high-quality primary data and strengthening collaboration between brands and suppliers.
Afsah Alumia-Khan, Head of ESG Strategy & Implementation, WFSGI, commented: “This partnership represents a significant step forward for our members as they navigate increasing expectations around transparency, due diligence, and impact measurement. Worldly provides the high-quality sustainability intelligence needed to turn ESG ambition into action. By strengthening supplier engagement and improving data completeness, our members can make better decisions, reduce risks, and accelerate positive change across the sporting goods industry.”
According to Scott Raskin, CEO, Worldly “We are proud to partner with WFSGI to enable the sporting goods industry’s sustainability transformation. By combining our data and intelligence expertise with WFSGI’s leadership and member network, we look forward to helping their members gain the insights sporting goods brands and their manufacturing partners need to improve performance, meet rising regulatory expectations, and build resilient, responsible supply chains.”
Supporting WFSGI Member Enablement
This partnership complements WFSGI’s recently updated ESG strategy for 2026–2029, which prioritises:
- Responsible Conduct & Impact: advancing environmental and social performance through aligned tools and standards.
- Member Enablement: providing accessible resources, training, and practical support
- Advocacy & Representation: strengthening WFSGI’s collective voice in global sustainability and regulatory dialogues
With greater access to high-integrity sustainability data, WFSGI members are better positioned to anticipate risks, meet evolving regulatory requirements, and deliver measurable improvements across their operations and supply chains.
Sporting Goods Industry Testimonials
According to Nathalie Cuolomb, Environment Manager, Pentland Brands Ltd.”The Higg Index facility assessment provides the primary data we need for our scope 3 emissions calculations and offers insight into the environmental performance and maturity of our suppliers. Combined with the Insights Hub, it enables us to benchmark performance, identify gaps, and focus improvement efforts across our supply chain. The collaboration and industry discussions around these tools have also been very beneficial to our strategy and objectives.”
Johanna Heimlicher, Sustainability Director, Odlo also commented: “Worldly has genuinely made our ESG work easier to manage. We use the environmental and social facility assessments a lot, and it’s been a big help to have consistent, verified supplier data without having to build our own tracking tools, and it saves suppliers from filling out the same thing over and over. I also find the brand and retailer assessment useful for keeping us honest about how we’re running ESG internally, and the Insights Hub has made the data feel finally usable rather than sitting in big CSV downloads. Overall, it’s improved transparency for us and given me more confidence in reporting and decisions.”
As part of the partnership, WFSGI members will receive exclusive benefits designed to strengthen investor expectations and improvements across business operations and supply chains.
